BUSTED!!!!!(+_+) ('_')

People are constantly posting things up on the world wide web. The thing is some people put very inappropriate things up on the Internet. The bad thing about it is that if you ever commit a crime you can have your pictures used against. For example, you can say that you never used drugs in your life. Then you have a picture posted up on the Myspace or something like that with drugs in your hand. This can be a very regretful moment in life. The Internet is quickly become life. People should be careful how they use it though.
In the article Web networking photos come back to bite defendants it explains how people suffered from the broadcasting of their events. It says how this college student got into a drunken car accident and severely injured another driver. Then before the case he was at a Halloween party and he was wearing a jail costume. This showed he wasn't really concerned about the victim or even the case. This is what probably cost him 2 years in prison instead of probation.
In the article Teenagers Misbehaving, for All Online to Watch it explains how kids do things to be noticed on the Internet. Kids fight, fall off skateboards and just do crazy stunts just to be noticed. These teens are reckless and will do almost anything for attention or a laugh. These things can be found on the Internet on various websites such as Myspace or Youtube. These videos are harmful to the minds of some because it influences them to imitate or even try to do worst.
In the BusinessWeek article "Internet fuels popularity of risky stunts [The Oklahoman]" it explains how people use the Internet as media network. So people do things just to be put up there as news. People just want attention and they will do things for it. It says how the news used to be used as the media source now the Internet is being used more as the main source. so people are simply taking advantage of it.

WHY LIE ??????

The world moves forward on communication. People talk...a lot. The problem is the fact that everything isn't necessarily true. Things are sometimes twisted or exaggerated to make things sound presentable in there favor. On other occasions just lie completely where there is no truth behind it at all. The question is why lie? There must be a cause for the effect. The problem is what is the cause? In the document Why Are You Lying it gives four reasons why people may lie.
According to the document one reason for lying is FEAR. Fear is a is a reason to lie or a spark of motivation to make up a story in our favor. The fear may come from the awareness of knowing what may happen if the the truth comes out. Since we may not to fond of the consequence of what may happen we lie in a attempt to escape it. For example, take the picture of the man talking to his lawyer. The lawyer tells the man "I find in these cases that the best defense is a pack of lies". I think that the only way the client can get out of the situation is to lie. It's like how children lie so they won't get in trouble. They fear the consequence so they attempt to escape it through lying. I personally agree with this reasoning for lying. Only if it is your last hope of escape from the situation. The simple fact of the manner is why get in trouble if you don't have to. Especially if the lying is not really affecting the person your lying to. The thing is people need good lies. The type of lie where you have a reasoning for your reasoning and so on.
Another reason people lie is out of habit. Some people relied on lying so much they became adapted to the lifestyle. Some people are skilled at lying. It becomes a reflex to defend themselves. If there are no consequences the habit may break.
Some people lie just to lie. Like for example, I could say I have a million dollars stashed away in a bank. It's not really affecting anybody. They call it a white lie. Sometimes it be a promise made that won't be kept. The funny thing about it is that people tell these "white lies" but, as soon as it is told to them it is a problem. I used to tell "white lies" to get noticed and seem something I'm not. I really don't agree with type of lying. I feel it is ridiculous and unnecessarily.
Another reason people lie is because they over predict. Over prediction probably comes from pass experiences. Once a person feels they know someone well they can predict their reactions to certain situations. For example, a boy loses his phone. He feels his parents is going to punish him. So instead of telling his parents he loss his phone he tells them he left it at his friends house. So the parent said just get it tomorrow. So everyday he comes home he has to make up a excuse. Sooner or later he is going to have to find the phone, come up with another excuse which will cancel out the first one or just tell the truth. I think this type of lying is only helpful in certain situations. The only reason to lie in these situations is if you know you can make things better.
Another reason for people to lie is for their gain in life. People do this as a act of selfishness and greed. They call this lying for a deceptive gain. This can be compared to propaganda. People lie to make you think what they want you to think. This can be very harmful. If a person is very skilled at it they can easily have you convinced that the wrong is the right. For example, take the picture with the two men arguing and saying that each one is lying. They can be campaigning for some high position in politics. They can be digging up dirt on each other. They maybe lying to the people that are voting because, they want to win. So they lie and make the other person look bad. I don't agree with this type of lying because, I feel that innocent people should be lied to just so someone can have the upperhand in life.

(*_*)ALTERNATE ENERGIES(*_*)

In this day in age people are trying to find a new way of living. Things have got to the point where we as a people need alternate sources because we have abused the ones we already had. The main issue I am talking about is alternate energy. Over the years we as a people abuse oil and now we have relied on it so much it is now damaging us environmentally and economically. Now people are discovering new ways to supply energy without as much harm or money. If we don't our planet could be in great danger!
One issue that I feel is a main problem is gas and it's high prices. People are paying more and more money to drive and it'd becoming chaos. People are driving to work and most of their money is going to gas just to back and forth. To make matters worst the cars are polluting our atmosphere. Luckily scientist have found a way to make cars more efficient gas wise and less pollutant. These vehicles are ran by solar energy. Solar energy is when sunlight is converged into electricity. The sunlight charges the car so it can have have a enough power to run properly for while. This greatly cuts down the use of gas. Over gas will be in less demand and the price will eventually go down.
Another way that solar energy is effective is through wind turbines. Wind turbines are similar to fans. The difference is it does the complete opposite. Instead of using electricity to give wind it takes wind and turns it into energy. This energy can be used to make more electricity that can be used in our everyday lives. These things can cost lower then $1ooo. They can also make you money. If you generate energy and you make more then you use yur electric company can give you a check because they used your energy.
Another type of energy is called geothermic energy. This energy is used from deep in the earth from heat. The water that comes up from the earth is is very hot. This is because the core of the earth could get as ot as 9000 degees hot. The steam from the water can be used to generate electricity. The heated water can also be used to heat houses, grow food, hot springs etc...

Gore's challenge

Al Gore's speech on July 17,2008 was about how we can change the doomed path we are rapidly fallen in. He explains that if we are to follow his plan we can help reduce or at least slow down he damage we have done to our home planet. He explains that it is a challenge we must face that we as a people need to overcome. He says we don't always need oil to supply us with power. He says there are alternate fuels that can be accessed such as, solar power and wind power. He also explains that the northern caps are melting. This can cause the earth to flood. The ice is melting because of the heat that is extremely high. This is because, the ozone layer is damage because of pollution. If we use certain natural resources like the wind and solar power it will rapidly bring down pollution. He says we have less than 10 years to change.

I believe that he is right. The problem is that it is going to be hard to get the majority of people to take up his challenge. People are ignorant and worried about themselves. I think money is the only way people will listen. If the new resources are cheaper people will automatically help out even if their help was for their own gain. I feel it should be made a law to do some of the things in his challenge. Such as the use of the alternate fuels. Just to limit our use on carbon based fuels.

I honestly don't know what I can do to help. I could probably help more when I get older and use things on my own. The most I can do now is use energy saving supplies such as the new light bulbs. When they start coming out with more energy saving appliances and other things I'll gladly support them. For now I can at least try to convince people to change their bad habits. I can reuse things such as bottles and use tap water. The challenge isn't that hard all we need is leaders so people can follow.

The Power of the Quote

"Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see"- Benjamin Franklin
This quote is confusing to me. If I have to guess what it means, I am to say it means to ignore gossip and everything you see may not appear to what it really is.Proof is the important factor to all things. Thats why religon can be questioned. Faith is something that can't be proved.
The first part of the quote says "believe none or what you hear..." People talk, that is a fact. What people say isn't always factual. People lie which means everything can't be true. After a while I realized that everything can't be believed. The quote is saying believe none of what you hear. Well no one can be 100% sure of what hey hear is true. Things can be possible and have a good chance of happening but that doesn't necessarily mean it is true. Even if I hear the same the same thing from multiple sources it may start sounding convincing but I may not know if they got their information from the same resources. After a while things start sounded different when it is passed around to different people. This leads to the possibility of personal twist and interpretations of the original truth. People tend to exaggerate or even hide important details because, they feel that is all a person needs to know.
The second part of the quote says believe half of what you see. I think this means that every thing may not be the entirety of what I'm witnessing. Take the picture above for example. What you see is a man in the air. What I don't know is how he got there. He could of done with his pure magic. You don't have to because I know I don't. He could be on strings walking on a clear platform or many other tricks. Another situation could be one day you walk around the corner and you see a man shoot another man and kill him. The thing you might think is the man doing the shooting is a criminal. What you don't know is why he shot him, where he get the gun from and was it on purpose or is it even real. There could be many possibilities for example, the man could of shot him because he is a undercover cop defending himself from the man he was possibly wielding a deadly weapon or the man could of got the gun from the man he shot from tussling with him and the gun could of went off or you could of just walked on a movie scene and what you had seen wasn't even real. So basically Benjamin Franklin is saying only believe half a what you see.

One quote that I feel is powerful is
"Goals determine what you're going to be"- Julius Erving
This quote means that the goals you create determines the decisions you make which leads to different outcomes in life. I feel
this quote is powerful and could be inspirational to anyone who understands it. It reminds me of a peice of playdough. If you don't have at least a idea of what you want it to be it will misguided and will end up a peice of nothing unless you get lucky. I feel goals are motivation and if you know what you want and how to do it, it would be a lot easier and less stressful. This quote is important to my everyday life because my goal is to finish school and to finsh school I have to do my work and get decent grades. So I do my work and I plan to finish school soon.

The world and it's quirks

This is the Earth. Why is it here? Is there a reason for it. I know it's where we live but, why do we live. We all die in the end so why bother living? I can't lie I love life(well at least the majority of it). Well I can't just talk about me when there is about 6 BILLION other people who probably hold different opinions. There are seven continents with different countries inside each. Each and every region on Earth can't honestly say they don't have a problem with anything. The problem could be emotional, political, economical, etc... All I'm saying is that everything has it quirks. For example, the war in Iraq is one of The United States many problems. Many American soldiers are drafted into another country and told to protect civilians and fight the war on terrorism and they are out there dying and getting their limbs blown off to fight these mystery terrorist. When I think about it the United States should be considered terrorist. We are terrorising and putting fear in the people of Iraq. I feel there is a secret agenda in place such as the use of their oil. I'm not saying it is perfectly true but it is a great possibility.
Another problem in the world is the War In Darfur also known as a genocide. Approximately 400,000 dead due to a what appears to be a ethnic/tribal war. People everyday try to stop it. I personally feel sorry for the people that live in the middle of that nonsense and have no option but to try and survive. Women and kids killed for what. Why is the world do harsh. These people don't even get a chance to be successful and have what some of us have here in America.

America is a funny country. People in this world are dying of hunger and disease and we are worrying about gas prices so we could drive our cars around and heat up our houses. People complain about their weight because they ate too much. People wish they could have a third of what we eat everyday. People have the nerve to call someone a immigrant. America is made up of 62 nations. If you wasn't a native American your an immigrant. People here are always complaining about their clothes and how they look. Always bragging about how much they got. If they not helping anyone with their riches they are useless. Their are many more problems but that's just enough.

One of the world's main problems right now is GLOBAL WARMING and it's affect on us. Throughout the years we have been damaging the atmosphere to convience ourselves. For example, driving our cars and littering and not recycling. We have been breaking our planet down for many years and when it is finally about to end we try to do something. What global warming is doing is letting more sun rays in because our ozone layer has a hole in it. The sun rays beam down on the icebergs and melts them. The water then rises and soon it will flood the earth. This problem is serious. This could mean the end of earth as we know it.

School Survey WHY????? (^_^)

In the article Students, Teachers and Parents Weigh In on State of the Schools by Jennifer Medina she talks about the survey that was done by the students, teachers, and parents. It was a way to see how the system was doing and what could worked on and improved. It explains how more people did the survey. I didn't do it myself but I did look over it. I felt as if people was writing what was wanted to be heard. I noticed it said voluntary but they try to force the students to do in my school. I refused because I think they doing this to find a blame dummy to frame. To say that even if they was to fail they could say it is the people fault and they were right. They asked the students do they feel safe in the hallways, bathrooms and locker rooms. What about after school? That should of been a question on that survey. People don't understand most issues are settled after the kids leave the school grounds. I have many horrible things happened to students because of issues that occurred on school grounds. I notice the author kept pushing on the fact that more people actually did the survey. I myself personally think the school system is coming along quite well. The problem is that certain kids shouldn't be in certain schools. For example, some kids are too good for some schools and some are not mentally fit for some environments. I feel this sometimes leads to aggravation which leads to violent acts to one another. Not to say kids should be judged and placed but, I feel it creates a healthier environments for kids to learn. My education has been difficult these pass few years. I've been put in classes where it is difficult to learn due to others behavioral patterns. The teachers are constantly "babysitting the students" which decreases time for the actual education. I noticed in the fifth paragraph it said "More than a third of middle and high school students said getting good grades did not earn the respect of other students". This in some schools is a way to lose respect. To some students this shows how other kids think their better than them because he or she is smarter. In some schools it is respected I think. This could be compared to the crabs in a basket. One crab could be almost to the top and another crab would be quick to pull it back down. This could be compared to one student distracting the other so he or she can't learn. All I'm saying is that I disagree with most of the article and the use of the survey.

I am

I am Hezekiah oh so loud and proud
I wonder why you can't turn your ear off
I hear your soul
I want well...I don't know I have not yet created a goal
I am Hezekiah oh so loud and proud

I pretend I'm out of Harlem
I feel like this place is a problem
I touch the souls of all my fallen friends
I worry I'm going to see them again too soon
I cried when I heard my friend Nate was shot dead
I am Hezekiah oh so loud and proud

I understand we must die
I say why so young
I dream of living longer
I try to make it true
I hope when i die it's because I'm old
I am Hezekiah oh so loud and proud

Weezy f. baby "pleeze say the baby"...Lil wayne

I mainly focus on Hip Hip,Rap and Rhythm and Blues(also known as R and B).Many new artists hit the scene with their own distinct sound and "FLAVOR". Even though many new artists have a big impact on the "GAME" or the music industry the established artists have it a little easier. One artist that is dominating the "GAME" is Lil' Wayne. He has been in the "game" for 13 years providing our ears with "slick metaphors" and clever lines that have not in my opinion been topped. He started off in the music group CASH MONEY. He was in his teenage years . I feel he was not a good rapper back then. When they broke up he went solo and brung the man he called his father Baby also known as Birdman another rapper that was part of cash money with him. You can find a few him in a few of his music videos.

Lil' Wayne is EXTREMELY popular among rap viewers. I often hear people quoting some of his favorite lines. He has hundreds of songs you can listen to from records to freestyles. He raps about different things from girls to money or just how life is. Everybody can't just listen to him. You need to have some knowledge of what he is saying. All I'm saying is that if you never heard the man you need to.

FACTS about Lil' Wayne

Real Name: Dwayne Carter
Birthday: 09/27/1982
Birthplace: New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
Occupation: Musician
Sign: Libra

His girlfriend is the singer Nivea
He is a member of the gang bloods

My favorite line from Lil' Wayne is "If Im wrong there ain't no right"

that means he speaks the truth about everything and if he is wrong than something is wrong with the world

Habits of mind

There are 16 attributes to what they call "habits of mind". These are ways people act intelligently in certain situations. For example, I chose "Gathering data through all senses". This is when you learn about something through your five senses. For example, if you see a police car zooming down the street and you hear the siren, you pick up on that sound. So the next time you hear that specific sound you can easily assume it is a police siren. You can compare this to trail and error.
You learn from experience. When you use one of your senses in a situation the things you experience are stored in your brain so when you experience it again you can recongize it. This is a easy way to learn. This can ony be established through a first hand basis.
